The Homebound Program helps meet the needs of eligible clients who are terminally ill or disabled and unable to obtain food in person at our Third Street facility. Eagle's Wings gets leads from its own records, from Meals on Wheels, home healthcare workers, and other clients. Social Services sent an initial mailing, containing a form potential clients could return, to their waiting list.
A team of two volunteers conducts an initial interview with a potential client. Qualified clients receive food immediately. Afterwards, food deliveries are once a month.
Clients are divided up into routes according to geographical location. Volunteers maintain a driver's log and record each visit in a notebook. Notebooks are returned to Eagle's Wings where visits are entered into our daily records.
